In a surprising partnership that challenges conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Revealed
According to the authorized announcement, "A strange encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of banned ceremonies and monstrous changes resonate through the obscurity." The storyline features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret group.
The questline focuses on "peculiar trials and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Changes
The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Extra Features
Players who successfully complete the adventure will receive an special katana in addition to several items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
